Nominations open for major awards recognising Australia’s most impactful startups and tech changemakers

Startup Daily is launching the inaugural 2023 Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards, a flagship celebration of Australia’s tech startup and scaleup community that will culminate in a one-of-a-kind gala event.

As Australia’s leading digital publisher of startup news, insights and stories, Startup Daily will recognise founders, investors and startups who are progressing our tech landscape in areas such as sustainability, innovation and diversity and inclusion.

“The growth of the local startup sector in recent years has been one of the most exciting business stories in Australia,” says Simon Thomsen, Editor of startupdaily.net and host of Startup Daily TV on ausbiz.com.au.

“The innovation and transformation to a smarter, digital nation is clear in the numbers. Companies such as Canva, Airwallex, Go1 and Culture Amp have reached valuations of more than $1 billion in a matter of years, as investors pour several billion dollars into these world-changing ideas, and nearly 1 million Australians work in tech.

“That said, the last few years have been turbulent for the startup sector, so the opportunity to shine a light on the entrepreneurs and companies changing the world for the better with the Startup Daily Awards is something we’re pleased to do.”

Startup Daily is thrilled to have AWS for Startups as the major partner for the awards, with Dell Technologies’ Dell for Startups program and AgriFutures Australia as supporting partners, as well as award sponsors 1835i, Tank Stream Labs and Techstars.
