POWERING UP THE CONSUMER DATA RIGHT WITH THE HON. STEPHEN JONES MP

Data privacy and data security are major concerns for consumers and are likely to be for the foreseeable future. Open Banking now covers over 99 percent of banking customers and the Consumer Data Right (CDR) is poised to be the key mechanism by which consumers make use of their data in the digital economy.

With its evolution beyond Open Banking, the CDR is expanding into energy, with other sectors and datasets following into the future, granting Australians and Australian businesses greater control over their data and spurring the creation of innovative and personalised products and services.

As the government prepares to launch third-party action initiation, join Assistant Treasurer the Hon. Stephen Jones MP and key stakeholders as we discuss the Albanese Government’s ambitions for the evolution of the Consumer Data Right.
