Tanggram announced that their Co-Founder Erica Xie has received the coveted Women in Finance Awards accolade for ‘Young Leader of the Year’.
The highly anticipated Women in Finance Awards 2022 is recognising the best and brightest women leading the charge across the finance sector. This is the benchmark for excellence around Australia, and year after year recognises the outstanding contribution made to the profession, propelling the industry forward.
As the Co-founder of Tanggram, she has demonstrated outstanding leadership in devoting herself to rolling out a series of global diversity and inclusion initiatives for our staff and user community, laying the foundation to build a more diverse and inclusive workplace and community in Australian and international markets.
The awards cocktail luncheon was hosted on Thursday, 3 November at The Star Sydney with over 680 members of the finance industry in attendance to cheer on 249 finalists competing for 24 individual and 5 company submission-based categories.
Commenting on the winners, ifa and InvestorDaily editor, Maja Garaca Djurdjevic, said: “I would like to congratulate all the winners and thank everyone that joined us at this year’s Women in Finance Awards.
“2022 has come with its own set of challenges, but it’s been incredibly inspiring to see how you’ve once again successfully navigated through unchartered territory.
“Thank you for celebrating with us the outstanding achievements of women in the professional and financial services industry right across the country, and those whose perseverance, hard work and innovation have led the way for the sector.”
Erica, Co-Founder and Operations & People at Tanggram, said that she and Tanggram were thrilled, humbled and blessed to be named as a finalist and awarded the accolade in the Women in Finance Awards 2022.
It’s no secret that the finance industry is very male-dominated. As a female individual working in the finance sector and a startup co-founder, it is both challenging and difficult. Being granted the Women in Finance Awards really empowers me and double-confirmed this path that I took. I’m more dedicated than ever to creating more impact and helping the fintech industry to propel forward with my beloved Tanggram team.” She added.
