Austrade fintech delegation to france finance week and fintech forum (28 January & 2 February 2019)
Austrade is gauging interest for a potential mission to the Paris Fintech Forum, 29-30 January, 2019. You are invited to express your interest in this great opportunity.
The Paris Fintech Forum
The Paris Fintech forum is the main event on the digital finance / Fintech calendar in France and one of the main fintech opportunities in Europe, taking place at the former French stock market exchange in the heart of Paris on 29 & 30 January 2019.
This two day event covers all key areas of digital finance, particularly for fintechs through 100+ panels and interviews. This year, the 4th edition of the Paris Fintech Forum is organised under the high patronage of M. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, and will host prestigious guests from international financial corporates, fintechs and international organisation such as Ms. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the IMF.
The event gathers over 150 fintechs CEOs from all over the world in both panels & interviews and on stage dedicated to pitches and showcases. Most of the Fintechs in attendance are also present in an exhibition hall in one of the 100+ Fintech pods.
The Paris Finance Week
The Paris Finance Week will also form part of this opportunity. The Paris Finance Week, taking place from 26 January 2019 through to 2 February aims at bringing together public and private initiatives in the Finance sector around innovation & new technologies (Fintech), education, research and regulation. This is a great opportunity for Australian Fintech interested in the French-European Union market to understand and meet the local Fintech ecosystem.
Austrades mission would also take advantage of the Paris Finance week to organise a dedicated event at the Australian Embassy in Paris, including key Australian speakers, financial services executives and other government and private sector representatives.
The Opportunity
As a partner of the Paris Fintech Forum and the Paris Finance week, Austrade is considering a dedicated program for an Australian Fintech delegation attending these events, including:
- Austrade in market briefing on the French fintech scene and emerging trends particularly in light of Brexit
- Participation at the 2 day Paris Fintech Forum with B2B meetings;
- Dedicated group meetings/pitching sessions;
- Visits to prestigious incubators in Paris (Station F, Le Swave); and
- Meetings with and/or site visits at French corporates (BNP Paribas, Oney Bank) and universities.
