"EPAA Master Talk: The Impact of Quantum Computing on Banking, Payments and Financial Services" is a groundbreaking seminar that aims to explore and spark discussions around the profound implications of quantum computing on the world of banking, payments and financial services.
First it was the internet, then it was crypto/blockchain, and now it's Quantum Computing. Each started out as a curiosity, a fad or a puzzle, but are now a pervasive reality. All of these technologies have impacted payments and banking, with Quantum now fast becoming the new conundrum. With this here-but-still-coming technology quantum physics entangles with computing. While commercially viable quantum computers are years away, quantum computing does render current security vulnerable. In the Financial Services world the potential impact/danger/benefit is in its early stages, but is already under a microscope of scrutiny.
During this Master Talk we will explore what it means to the payments industry, and to bank and corporate CIO’s and CPO's as they work to stay ahead of security threats and risks. In some instances the immutability of the blockchain is in question.
Attendees come away understanding what steps are being taken and can be taken now to be better prepared, and we will discuss the opportunities in this evolving field.
Ray Harishankar will present the 'Master Talk', after which a fireside chat will be held, moderated by Jacqui McPherson with Ray Harishankar and Dan Chesterman as speakers.
