TechDiversity Awards Gala Event

About the Awards gala event on the 25th May

The TechDiversity Awards recognise individuals and groups that have demonstrated leadership and embraced inclusion by raising awareness and promoting diversity initiatives and programs. These people have displayed outstanding expressions of leadership, behaviour, initiatives, commitment and courage, key touchstones needed to embrace inclusion and drive diversity.

Why Attend?

  • Education – With 120 Award Nominees this year, this is the best night of the year for amplifying the voices of those making a difference to diversity in tech. A wonderful event to bring colleagues, family members and friends along to.

  • Networks - At last year's awards we had over 500 innovators, leaders and change makers achieving exceptional outcomes within DEI in tech, so we have increased our capacity to 650 this year. The event will be livestreamed and the marcomms leading up to and following the event will be significant in amplifying the narrative of those making a dent in the diversity numbers. Be part of the conversation, join the community on thousands of industry leaders across the country.

  • Implementation - Being in the conversation on a night like this with colleagues and friends, is an opportunity to create the space and discuss ways to create a more inclusive team in the workplace. Simple ideas that you can implement tomorrow.

  • Influencing the future – If we are going to shape policy that impacts our future workforce, then it’s diversification that will assist in achieving the Fed Government’s goal in increasing tech workforce numbers from 861,000 to 1.2 million by 2030. Come and be part of the longtail strategy that will impact the future of the Australian economy.

  • We are greater together – There’s a lot of talk about DE&I. The thing is, it’s the “I” that determines how people feel at work. As Maree Lang, MD of Greater Western Water, a 2023 TechDiversity Award nominee said “Diversity is a fact, Equity is a choice, Inclusion is an action and Belonging is an outcome.”
