Sponsorship opportunities for Finnies and research and education program
FinTech Australia has opened up sponsorship opportunities for this year’s Finnies industry awards and an exciting new research and education program.
The Finnies are Australia’s only industry-backed awards. Last year’s inaugural awards program attracted some 159 entries, with the winners announced a gala event in Sydney’s CBD attended by 200 people. The Finnies are sponsored by the NSW Government’s Jobs for NSW.
Given the growth and maturity of Australia’s fintech industry since last year, the 2018 awards are expected to be even bigger and better than 2017, with the awards ceremony to be held in June 2018 and again in Sydney’s CBD.
FinTech Australia has published its sponsorship pitch deck, outlining the opportunities which are on offer. To find out more information about sponsorship of the Finnies, please contact our Director of Events and Partnerships Vanessa Ronan-Pearce on email@example.com.
There is also an opportunity for companies to help FinTech Australia fund research, promotion and education on key fintech issues. The most immediate opportunity relates to our member ecosystem map, which we’ll be updating in April 2018.
Mark Skelsey, FinTech Australia’s Director of PR of Comms, said the program was an opportunity to deliver meaningful and interesting research and awareness raising, while at the same time help sponsor companies build brand awareness and position themselves as thought leaders.
“This program will help embellish FinTech Australia’s already strong body of work promoting, and advocating on behalf of, the fintech industry,” Mr Skelsey said.
“It will also respond to the great thirst for well-presented insights into our vibrant and exciting industry.
“It is hoped that some of the material produced from this program will help influence public policy outcomes in Australia, but also shine a light on emerging fintech areas to help educate the marketplace.”
The first opportunity is available to be the presenting partner of FinTech Australia’s member ecosystem map. The ecosystem map is the only one of its type, by displaying not only the different startup companies in each fintech sub-sector, but also the enabling technology used by these companies.
Our last ecosystem map, published in October 2017, had a potential worldwide media reach of 1.3 million people and a separate potential social media reach of more than 1 million.
The presenting partner will be prominently named on the map and also among the associated media release and social media posts issued alongside the map.
For our April 2018, we’ll be considering a major redesign to this map better reflect our rapidly growing and changing fintech environment and would love to help a presenting partner on board to help us with this.
Other potential research and education pieces under the program include (but are not limited to):
- A map of Australia’s blockchain initiatives and environment
- How the Australian fintech industry can best leverage the New Payments Platform
- How to drive female participation and leadership in fintech
- How do we drive bank-fintech collaboration in financial services
- Education programs on fintech industry sub-sectors
