Call for comments on Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) Reform

FinTech Australia has been invited to represent the Fintech industry as a member of the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) Stakeholder and Operations Forum. With a Government response to a review of the Personal Property Securities Act under development, now is the ideal time for FinTech Australia to bring the voice of the Fintech sector to the discussion.

This forum is the peak industry liaison group to work with the Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) to ensure effective delivery and ongoing improvements to the PPSR. This forum will provide an opportunity for industry to collaborate with AFSA on:

  • PPSR operational issues; and
  • Release planning, in particular to communicate industry priorities for enhancements to the register.
The PPSR has significant implications for a wide range of Fintech business activities such as Asset-based Lending, Invoice Finance and Digital Currencies.

If you are a FinTech Australia member and would like to be included in PPSR-related communications to provide input to the PPSR Forum, please email FinTech Australia at hello@fintechaustralia.org.au with “PPSR Forum” in the Subject line.
