FinTech Australia welcomes the second review into CDR and progress towards a digital economy. Our article in The Australian was published yesterday.

We’re looking forward to our first delegation this year to the UK for Innovate Finance global Summit, in partnership with UKDIT. EOI for Trade Mission CB Insights: Future of Finance

This year FinTech Australia is planning a trade mission to California for the CB Insights: Future of Finance. The mission to the US will include access to the conference, a full-day program and various social and networking events to allow participants to meet with industry partners and other thought leaders. Industry Updates: Delegation to the UK and big policy wins!

It’s already mid-February and there is a lot of positive noise about fintech in the community, parliament and the papers. The first of what we hope will be policy inroads for the fintech community passed this week being the Treasury Laws Amendment (2018 Measures No 2) Bill 2019. The bill allows for the regulatory sandbox to be expanded and for an increased testing period to help fintechs create a minimum viable product to take to market.  Thank you to everyone that has been involved in getting this important piece of legislation passed.

We have so much on the horizon to look forward to – from the Senate Inquiry hearings to two roundtables with Treasury, Regulators and members, and two new submissions. (more…)

FinTech Australia x UK Department for International Trade April 2020 Trade Mission Innovate Finance Global Summit

This year marks the two year anniversary of the UK-Australia Fintech Bridge as such FinTech Australia will be leading a trade mission to Innovate Finance Global Summit (IFGS), supported by UK DIT from 20 – 23 April 2020.

Wednesday, 22 April: International Day, run by Innovate Finance

Thursday, 23 April: Full day program, run by UK DIT (Scaleups only)

Access to the conference is included through the mission. In addition to this, there will be various social and networking events to allow participants to meet with industry partners and other thought-leaders.

The successful UK-Australia Fintech Bridge, launched in 2018 simplifies access in both directions and opens up opportunities for UK and Australian fintechs.

The trade mission will provide opportunities for participants to meet and network with the UK’s world leading financial services ecosystem, and for UK companies to learn more about the exciting fintech innovations and opportunities in Australia.
