FinTech Australia announces 2025 Finnie Award finalists, marks 10-Year anniversary of the peak body

FinTech Australia has announced the finalists for Australia's most prestigious annual fintech business awards, The Finnies.

The Finnies celebrates achievements across the various components of the fintech industry and among the services that support them. This year’s award also marks the 10-year anniversary of FinTech Australia.

The 2025 awards drew over 348 entries—up from 322 the prior year—across multiple categories. The new Most Innovative Fintech Product or Service award drew over 47 submissions, the highest number for one award seen in the history of The Finnies.

FinTech Australia CEO Rehan D'Almeida said: "Last year we were overwhelmed with entries, so we are in disbelief that we've received even more than in 2024.”

"Given this is FinTech Australia’s 10-year anniversary we have a special night planned for all attendees. Even if you aren't up for an award, it will be a night to remember. We expect the event to fully sell out, so please consider registering and purchasing tickets early to avoid disappointment."

The Finnies is judged over two intense rounds involving over 70 experts from across the fintech ecosystem. Today, 47 new fintech industry experts will commence the second round of judging of the finalists' entries, designed to be the fairest and most transparent award process in the finance industry.

D'Almeida added: "We're especially proud of our judging process. We go to great lengths to ensure the winners of the Finnies are truly deserving and the best in their field, as judged by their entry.

"As a result, making the finalists list is an achievement in itself. We congratulate all companies and individuals who made the list, and look forward to celebrating with both them and the winners on the night in June."

The winners will be announced at Doltone House in Jones Bay Wharf on 26 June. Tickets are available from the Finnies website (https://www.thefinnies.org.au/).
